Dance Notes came about because
teachers like you kept telling me 'I can't
find any decent music for dance' or 'I
spend all my time searching for something
to use'. So I created the Dance Notes
music series.

But then some asked: 'what do I do with
it? I dont have the time to work out lesson
plans. I'm not experienced in dance'.

Have no fear: not only will you find a
growing library of lesson plans here to
download but there are now complete
teaching packs with 6-week lessons and
accompanying CDs. Anything else? Let me
know.

What about lessons?
There are new integrated teaching packs,
comprising a 6-week lesson and CD. Or
you can view a range of lessons online.
Just go to the lesson plans page and take
a look.

What do they cover?
All aspects of the curriculum at primary
level (see QCA guidelines). The new
packs are themed to reflect the wider
curriculum, with new lessons being added
weekly.

What ages are they for?
Lessons are grouped under UK Key Stage
1 (ages 4-7) and Key Stage 2 (7-11).
Attainment levels vary between year
groups in different schools and you will
want to link your dance work to classroom
themes. It is up to you how you then
apply this to different year groups.

What do I get?
A growing library of music, suitable for use
at all levels of education, plus lesson plans
for Key Stages 1 & 2.

What kind of music?
All kinds: everything from African chanting
to modern dance beats

Can I hear some?
Yes, you can hear all the tracks at the CDs
page.

Can I have CDs on
approval?
It's not viable to send CDs on approval but
you can listen to all the tracks right away at
the CDs page.
